Commonly asked Questions...
What is Dermatologist SPF?
Dermatologist SPF refers to a sunscreen that is developed, tested, or recommended by skin experts. It typically means the formula is designed to be safe & effective for the designed purpose, while providing reliable broad-spectrum protection against UVA and UVB rays.
Why is a Dermatologist Sunscreen better?
Dermatologist-formulated sunscreens focus on both protection and skin health. They are usually:
- Tested for skin compatibility
- Less likely to cause irritation or breakouts
- Formulated with beneficial ingredients (like hydrating and soothing actives)
- Designed for daily use, not just sun exposure
This makes them ideal for consistent, long-term skin protection and care.
What’s unique about PLGRM?
PLGRM goes beyond basic sun protection by combining advanced skincare with SPF:
- Blue light stem cell technology to help defend against digital and environmental stressors
- Hydrating formula with hyaluronic acid for moisture retention
- Anti-redness support powered by niacinamide
- Lightweight & Easily washable for everyday comfort
- Alcohol & fragrance-free, making it gentle on skin
It’s designed as an all-in-one daily protection + skincare solution.
What is Ihram Friendly?
“Ihram Friendly” means the product is suitable for use during Ihram (a sacred state during Hajj or Umrah).
This typically means:
- Free from added fragrance
- Free from alcohol
- Designed to meet the guidelines followed during Ihram
- Importantly, the product isn’t water-resistant, which many sunscreens are. This poses some challenges for performing Wudu. This is further explained by Sh Yahya Ibrahim on our ‘About Us’ page
